Pet related
A few griefs about ranger pets, as well as suggestions to improve them a bit (functionality-wise, not damage/health etc...)
1.) That pets cannot be resurrected, requiring a special skill to bring them back. This is a pain, as it requires you to pack Comfort animal (or I suppose you could bring the revive all animals, but unless there were several rangers that wouldn't make much sense). Comfort animal is a weak healing spell anyway, and if playing the pet as an extension of the character with several pet skills in the build I am going to be relying to some extent on the Monk keeping an eye on him - I cannot protect a pet well enough as a ranger using comfort animal, that much is certain. I know that rangers will still want a way to heal their pet without a monk around, and a way to resurrect the pet should their rezzer get taken out, so some may still pack it along, but one fewer slot would be nice - especially for a ranger/monk or monk/ranger who ends up carrying a resurrect and healing anyway... having 2 slots devoted to way to bring party members back is aggravating.
2.) It'd be great to have the option to spilt your pet's attacks off yours - now this does happen to some extent, but it is limited. A key to tell the pet to attack my target, and another key to tell the pet to stay on his current target, so that I can sick a pet on someone and switch off onto another target.
3.) if #2 were implemented, I'd like the ability to see what my pet is attacking - a second target bar, showing the health etc. of that opponent. That way I know if the bleeding has stopped or if they are healing themselves back up and need me to target back onto them.
4.) If those were implemented, then a target next/target previous for the pet would also be handy - I am thinking of mapping my target next/taget previous to mouse 4 and 5 anyway, so and I could easily use the pet's targetting on my mouse wheel up and down, with a click on the mouse wheel being the equivalent of the space bar. Then I wouldn't need a "stay on your target button", as I can select his target anyway, though a "jump to my target" would still be useful, as would a "jump to pet's target" button, if I realise he needs my help. Both the "target pet's target" and "target master's target" could even be activated by clicking the target bar of joint target; so if I need the pet on mine I can click my target bar, if I need to jump to my pet's I can click my pet's target bar.

If you want to make your pets, hencies (and maybe even minions) attack your target, and you are in *control* of those creatures, then just hold shift and press space. It makes the "blah blah im attackign blah blah hit T" and the henchmen/pets will auto attack it.

Yes, but I sometimes want to tell him who to attack, while I attack others. They will break off and come to attack a foe I am working on. Particularly annoying if I am trying to mesmer shutdown a caster and I want my pet making someone else bleed, cripple and such, or if I am spreading conditions, or hexing another set of enemies. It's not an issue for those using focus fire and damage dealing, as they want everyone on one target, but for support roles doing shutdown, enchantment rending and debuffing you don't want the pet breaking off to attack your target.
